Hello there! So it’s been about a week since my first post. Now here on
my second post I wanna do a little review and comparison between these 2 famous
Maybelline mascaras to show you how I personally think about them. So, let’s
just get into it shall we?
Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket Washable
Mascara
Price : Rp. 95.000
What it Says :
- 8x bigger
- Explosive volume in rocket time
- 8x bigger
- Explosive volume in rocket time
- Smoother
- Zero clumps
left: with mascara, right: without mascara
(8:15 AM)
What I Love About it :
The brush is amazing, it does the job. I can reach every single of
my lashes from the root to the very tip. Well, It does give me that bigger
lashes which I really love, but not exactly 8x bigger LOL.
What I Hate About it :
Hmmm Personally, I’m not a big fan of non-waterproof mascaras because
my eyelids were tend to get oily during the days. And I don’t know if it’s just
me, my lashes were kinda sticky when I used this and they started to get clumped
together to one another in the end of the day as you can see there. Ew.
Overall Thoughts :
I think this mascara is not for everyone. I mean, It’s OK but I
just don’t feel like I would pick this mascara whenever I needed to. But don’t
get me wrong here, this is a perfect mascara for all of you who looking for everyday
mascara to wear and who didn’t have oily eyelids like mine, because it does. It
does really washable. But I only give it 2 hearts out of 5 for this product.
Sorry… :(
Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies
Waterproof Mascara
Price : Rp. 95.000
What it Says :
- Three times more visible lashes
- Five times more volume without clumping
- Eight times more volume without clumping
- Pro-keratin fiber formula
- Unique spoon shaped brush with flexible wand
- False lash effect from just lash mascara
left: with mascara, right: without mascara
(sorry for my wild messy eyebrows* and for the low quality image, I'm only using my iPhone camera here :( It's better in real life btw, I swear! LOL)
What I Love About it :
The curve of the brush makes it easy to get
across my lashes and allowing the mascara to provide a length, volume and a nice curl. It does give my lashes three times more visible almost just like
wearing false lashes that gives me that “va-va-voom!” lookin’ lashes and it still looks quite natural.
What I Hate About it :
There’s a little bit of clump-ness going on there which I don’t
really mind, because I use a spoolie brush to fix them up even though it takes
a little bit more time to achieve the look that I really want.
Overall Thoughts:
I’m a “separation and definition” type of girl when it comes to
mascara and I’m in love with this product. Even though this is a waterproof
formula that kinda hard to clean off, I prefer this one better rather than the
Rocket Volum’ Express to use everyday if I need to. I give it the almost perfect 4 hearts out of 5 for this product.
So, which mascara do you like better? If you want a little more dramatic, you can put on some false lashes and my beautiful best friend here Karina is sharing some tips and tricks and even the tutorial on how to apply false lashes that looks natural! Just click here to see what she's doing!
* Psstt! I purposely leave my eyebrows grow for my next post soon, so stay tuned! ;)
