Tips: How to Trim & Groom Your Eyebrows

Hi! Maybe some of you notice that I made a promise from my 2nd post that I’ll post something about my eyebrows soon in this blog. So, here it is! I’ve been growing my eyebrows for the past 6-7 weeks to do this thing. I wanna show you how I trim & groom my eyebrows with this 5 steps that you can do it yourself at home! Because personally, I don’t trust other people to do this thing. So, these are the things that you’ll need:

Compact Mirror (1), Spoolie & Angled Brush (2), Tweezer (3),  Grooming Scissor (4)
Brow Razor  (5), Concealer or White Eyeliner (6), and Brow Powder (6)

Eyebrows are the frame for your face, and eyebrows are one thing that can make
the most amount of difference to your face if you re-shape them.
Okay so let’s get started!

1.    Find an inspiration

Last month I tried to change my eyebrow shape by lowering my eyebrow's arch to calming down my "bitchy resting face", but it turned out really weird on me hahaha so I decided to just re-define my natural eyebrow shape like I usually did, and kinda re-shape them between ”sexy thick" & "attractive thick" shape as you can see on the picture charts from google here that I recreate.

Or, you can find a celebrity or someone who has beautiful eyebrows that you really like. My top 2 Eyebrow Queens are Lily Collins and Cara Delevingne, but their eyebrows seems very impossible for me to copy, because my eyebrows are not as thick as theirs :( but personally the other inspirations for me are Emma Watson's, Keira Knightley's, and Camilla Belle's stunning eyebrows.

2.    Brush the brow hair to neatly flatten them

Tada! Here’s my naked eyebrows. I know, they look awful and super messy or should I say “rumput liar” look-like or whatever you wanna call it. hmm okay then brush them with a spoolie so you can clearly see the shape of your eyebrows and the direction of your hair growth.

3.    “Design” your brows

Now here’s the most important step for a beginner. Getting a concealer that matches your skin tone will work the best to outline them, because you can conceal the excess eyebrows and kinda see what your brows will look like before you pluck them, and you can play around with it until you find your "perfect" eyebrow shape. Here I’m using the new NYX Wonder Pencil in shade medium that I bought online for 85k. If you don’t have one, white eyeliner works fine too!

4.    Pluck, trim, and shave them

If you’re happy with your “design”, you can pluck, trim, and shave the excess hair by using:

·      Tweezer: Plucking the hair away that the concealer/liner has covered up (pull in the direction where your hair’s growing)

·      Grooming Scissor: Trim the strands of the hair that touch the concealer/liners (I’m using my manicure scissor here LOL it works fine too btw. Any scissor will do :”) )

·      Brow Razor: You can shave the excess hair that you don’t like around your eyebrows (work towards the opposite direction where your hair’s growing) * if necessary

5.    Last step, fill them up!

Spoolie is your best friend when it comes to eyebrows, brush your eyebrow hair with a spoolie until you happy with the shape and lightly start to fill the gaps with an angled brush that you’ve dipped with your favorite brow powder. Here I’m using Wet n Wild brow kit in ash, super love it!! This product is super pigmented so all you need is just a tiny dab of it and its only 99k! Crazy right?? Ok. Focus! Then I apply the wax by just using my finger to give it a little shine for more natural finish and finally brush them again until you’re happy with it!

So this is the final look of my eyebrows! Sorry for this super complicated post haha. I don’t know about you, but I like mine this way better. And yeah, they’re not symmetrical because like everybody says “remember, eyebrows are sisters not twins”. Haha Okay then, I hope you find this post helpful and see you again soon!

Review: The Goodies in My Wristlet

Hi there! So, on my third post I’m doing this "the goodies in my wristlet" or should I call “what’s in my makeup pouch” to show you the makeups that I usually use for my daily touch up and give you my little thoughts about them. You can find most of these products anywhere in the drugstores. So, here they are:

1. Maybelline Clear Smooth All in One Shine Free Cake Powder

To be honest, what I am looking here is not the texture and the formula that this powder provides but I’m looking for the shade. I always have hard times to find a perfect warm medium shade when it comes to face products. It has that smooth texture and give me that shine-free lookin’ face throughout the day which makes me happy because I have an oily/combination skin. What I have here is in shade 04: Honey in case you’re wondering. And I prefer to use this powder with my kabuki brush better than the sponge, because it gives me more natural finish.

2. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

(Upper: Smitten, Bottom: Honey)

I prefer to use this balm stain better rather than just the other original lip tints out there. Because this is a 2-in-1 product that stained pretty long without making your lips dry (for couple minutes). I have 2 shades here, Smitten and Honey. Sometimes I just use Honey, this shade is really pretty! It’s like “my lips but better” kind of color which is really wearable to use everyday and sometimes I mixed it with a touch of Smitten to give my lips a little bit of color.

3. The Balm: BalmShelter Lip Gloss

Now this is another 2-in-1 lip products for me. This is a sheer tinted gloss with SPF 17 in it. What I have here is in shade Material girl, a sheer dark berry kind of color. What I love about this product is that I can use this just a little bit for a nice gloss without being too much. It gave me that extra moisture than the other lip balm does, without being sticky like most of lipgloss does to my lips hahah sorry ribet.

4. EOS Lipbalm (Strawberry Sorbet)

Nice scent, great taste, and super smooth texture. The best lipbalm that I’ve ever tried so far. Sadly, it’s not available everywhere here in Indonesia huhu so I bought this online for  85K.
